Based only on the numbers and eligibility you entered. Rounded to the nearest dollar; IRS tax tables and final return details can change the result.
This model includes standard deduction, business expenses, regular self-employment tax, the half-SE-tax adjustment, eligible child credit/ACTC and optional EITC. It excludes QBI, other-dependent, education and dependent-care credits, retirement/health adjustments, special deductions, other taxes, penalties, preparation charges, offsets and all state returns. Missing deductions can lower the estimate; missing taxes can raise it. For 3+ qualifying children, ACTC uses the greater of the simplified earned-income and payroll-tax methods.

Our calculation and IRS sources
2026 standard deductions: Single $16,100; Head of Household $24,150; Joint $32,200. Progressive 2026 rate schedules apply to income after the standard deduction and half-SE adjustment. Regular SE tax is 15.3% of 92.35% of positive net profit when net earnings reach $400. The household income limit keeps this simplified calculation below the Social Security wage base and Additional Medicare thresholds.
Eligible CTC is up to $2,200 per child; unused credit may qualify for ACTC, limited by earned income and $1,700 per child. The optional EITC uses 2026 maximums and phaseouts with statutory phase-in/phaseout percentages; official credit-table rounding may differ. A dependent count alone does not establish eligibility.
